Hi, we're Alex and Mugi 👋

I'm the solo developer behind Mugi, the Japanese immersion app. I started learning Japanese in 2010, and I've lived in Japan since 2015. I've worked in education, translation, and software, so the app was born from all my different experiences.

Mugi is a high-energy pomapoo, adopted from a shelter in Hachioji, Tokyo. She loves food, tennis balls, and stealing my socks. She understands Japanese.
